Looking for a safe shelter Keesha moved herself and her two children into Fifth Street Ministries. Since being at Fifth Street she has attended a variety of classes including parenting classes offered by SCAN.
Eventually Keisha was hired as a resident staff. In November of 2010 she was hired as a temporary bell ringer for The Salvation Army. This temporary position led her to a full time position with The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Coming to Fifth Street Ministries has given her family a stable, healthy and safe environment for her while working on becoming self- sufficient. Both children are now thriving in school and Keesah is on her way to becoming a real success story!
