John Snow leads the 2009 Community Campaign for United Way.
Dear Community Member,
Last year, twenty-three United Way partner agencies provided assistance to over 79,000 of our fellow citizens right here in Troutman, Statesville and northern Iredell County. These partner agencies received between 2% and 50% of their operating budget from United Way funding, helping to ensure the number of vital services they were able to provide. As you can see, there is a genuine, direct connection between the sustainability of our community’s safety net agencies and United Way funding.
I hope you will begin or renew your pledge to support the United Way of Iredell County by agreeing to make a donation. In doing so, YOU will make a difference in our community, right here, right now!
As the United Way of Iredell County prepares for the 2009 Community Campaign, we know the many economic challenges facing our community. As a result, financial resources may be more limited, yet more needed this year. Individual support, corporate support, and workplace campaigns are all crucial to ensure that United Way member agencies have the resources they need to continue to address the most important human needs of our community—those most likely to improve overall quality of life.
Local non-profit agencies are operating with fewer resources and facing a growing demand for their services. Their dependence on the United Way and your support is likely greater than any year in recent memory. The United Way of Iredell County is one of a few remaining funding organizations providing direct operational support to our local non-profit agencies.
Every dollar and volunteer hour will help to make a difference in the life of someone – Right Here, Right Now – in Troutman, Statesville and northern Iredell County. Please join me this year in supporting the 2009 United Way of Iredell County’s Community Campaign. Thank you for supporting the United Way of Iredell County, its member agencies, and the dedicated employees and volunteers who provide assistance to many of our friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers.
I hope you will choose to MAKE A DIFFERENCE… RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!
Sincerely,
John Snow, Chairman
