HOW TO CAMPAIGN SUCCESSFULLY
CEO INVOLVEMENT
Your visible support and active participation will increase the success of your company campaign. As your employees see your commitment to United Way, they will follow your example.

PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS
Most companies and organizations provide the convenience of payroll deduction for employees when making their United Way contribution. This simple process always increases the giving dramatically because it is an easy way for employees to give.

PERSONALIZED PLEDGE CARDS
Personalized pledge cards ensure that each employee has the opportunity to contribute.

TOP MANAGEMENT CAMPAIGN
Separate solicitation of your top management is effective in increasing overall campaign results.

CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR & TEAM
Selecting an assertive campaign coordinator is a key decision. Leadership ability is the most important characteristic, but this person should have a sincere interest and concern for the campaign objectives as well. In addition to the coordinator, a team-managed campaign can involve more employees and add input, ideas and enthusiasm from many people.

EMPLOYEE MEETINGS
Scheduling a brief meeting (20-30 minutes) to present the United Way campaign is the most efficient and effective way to reach your employees. United Way will arrange speakers & our LOCAL campaign video for your meetings.

LOCAL CAMPAIGN VIDEO
One of the most effective campaign tools we provide for companies is our local campaign video. Local people tell how they feel about United Way and how its different agencies have changed or improved their lives. Please call the United Way office to reserve a copy of the video to show at your meeting.

AGENCY TOURS
Employees tell us that seeing our United Way agencies in action is one of the best incentives for giving to United Way. When employees visit the agencies, they see first-hand how their contributions are used to help others.

THANK YOU
Recognizing employee participation in the campaign is an important follow-up to your campaign. United Way will assist your company with sample thank-you letters and ideas. Thank you ideas are located in the coordinators guide or call us at 704-872-3000.
