2010 2nd Annual "Stuff the Bus" with School Tools! United Way of Iredell County, WSOC-TV and the 9 Family Focus Partners, along with Iredell Statesville Schools are going to make sure all Iredell County school children have the school supplies they need to be successful in school. In 2009 approximately 10,000 pounds of school tools were collected. There are two ways to participate in this year's 'Stuff The Bus with School Tools'! 1. Have your workplace commit to being a designated drop off site for 'School Tools'. We'll do our best to supply you with a barrel. On Friday, August 27th, staff members from ISS and UWIC will come to your workplace and pick up your 'School Tools'. You don't want your company to miss out on the inaugural awarding of the prestigious Stuff The Bus Award! 2. Bring your donation to the Downtown Statesville Alive After Five Concert on August 27th between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and stuff the antique school bus with supplies. Samples of needed supplies are: looseleaf paper, 3 ring binders, pencils, crayons, index cards, color pencils, graph paper, calculators, highlighters, Sharpies, pens, and composition notebooks. "Please, just say YES to School Tools!"
